An overreliance on testing data can leave school leaders laser-focused on results. However, any test score – or result – is correlated with processes related to teaching, curriculum, assessment, leadership, resources, etc. Said differently, results don’t “just happen”, and they should not be separated from the teaching and learning that take place within a school. In this session, we’ll pull back from a purely data-driven results-oriented approach to school improvement to examine a more comprehensive framework that includes identifying and addressing the processes that lead to these results.
