Student voice is a critical part of creating a school culture where students thrive. In this session, participants will review district-wide data from HISD students reflecting on their own SEL skills and competencies (Social Awareness, Self-Efficacy & Emotion Regulation), as well as their experience in school (Climate & Belonging). Educators will explore key themes and disaggregate data to better understand their students’ experiences, and take time to use student voice to plan targeted programs and practices to improve outcomes for kids.
